'What I'm planning for Christmas this year...'

We plan to be at home in our local village of Stockcross, for the whole of Christmas, we plan to go to a local village Christmas party and a carol service. We will put up our tree and decorations in the first weekend. This is when our main shopping will start. My parent will be coming up to visit & my husband normally has 2 weeks off work and he loves Christmas too.

What I love about Christmas

Christmas is my favourite holiday of the year, it is typical spent with my parents who visit us from Wales for the
Christmas week. It is not just a religious celebration in our house but giving thanks for a good year and us all being
healthy, happy and together. This is expressed by gifts to each other and by a feast usually lasting the 3 days.
We have the traditions that start with school activities e.g fetes, Christmas card making and Christmas list making.
The children enter a village pantomine and have a school nativity. We celebrate locally visiting friends and the local
church for a carol service. We attend a Christingle service with our children as Christmas approaches.

Shopping would usually start early at John Lewis, M&S or House Of Frazer, Next and Amazon.

What gets me most excited about Christmas is leaving presents out from father christmas and them being delighted somethinghas been delivered that is on their Christmas list. I love seeing my house all decorated and choosing some new additional decorations each year. We have a tradition of going to get the Christmas tree the first weekend of December and
the whole family goes into the field and selects the dress and cuts it down together.
